The Story of Maarvi
Roots Over
Riches.
Born from Sindhi folklore. Built in the lanes of Ahmedabad.
Made for the woman who never forgets where she comes from.
"She refused the palace. She chose her people."
— Umar Marvi, Sindhi FolkloreA Legend Written in Cloth & Courage
The name "Maarvi" comes from the legendary Sindhi folklore of Umar and Marvi. In the story, Marvi was a simple village girl who was captured by a powerful King — a man who offered her unimaginable wealth, jewels, and a life inside a golden palace.
She refused it all. She chose her roots. Her village. Her people. Her freedom.
That spirit lives in every outfit we make. We don't chase the "luxury label" game. We choose authenticity over high markups — just as Marvi chose her simple life over the King's palace.
It Started at a Wedding Market
Not in a boardroom. Not with investors. In the crowded textile lanes of Ahmedabad — while Mohit was shopping for his sister's wedding.
The Frustration
Shopping for his sister's wedding, Mohit spent weeks looking for beautiful, affordable ethnic wear. Every good design came with a boutique price tag that made no sense. Every affordable option looked the same — boring, generic, mass-produced.
The Insight
With years spent in Ahmedabad's manufacturing sector, Mohit already knew the real cost of fabrics, stitching, and production. He saw the gap clearly: customers were being charged a "brand tax" for labels, not quality. The product itself was accessible — the pricing was the problem.
The Decision
Cut out the middlemen. Cut out the brand markup. Use manufacturing knowledge to source directly. Bring trendy, high-quality, traditionally rooted ethnic wear to every Indian woman — without asking her to pay for a logo she doesn't need.
Maarvi is Born
Today, Maarvi is trusted by 50,000+ women across India. Every outfit is personally curated — Mohit only sells what he would be proud to see his own sister wear. That is still the only standard that matters.
The Maarvi Promise
Real Quality, No Compromise
We use premium fabrics — French Crepe, Fendy Silk, Crunchy Silk — sourced directly from Ahmedabad's finest mills. No shortcuts. No false labels.
Fair Pricing Always
You're paying for the craft, not a celebrity ad campaign. We keep our margins honest because a woman shouldn't have to choose between tradition and budget.
Rooted in Tradition
Every design honours India's rich ethnic heritage. We celebrate the colours, silhouettes, and embroideries that have been passed down for generations — reimagined for today's woman.

Founder, MaarviA manufacturing professional from Ahmedabad, Gujarat — the textile capital of India. He knows fabrics, costs, and craftsmanship from the ground up.
The Standard I Never Compromised
When I started Maarvi, I made one rule for myself: I will only sell outfits I would be proud to see my sister wear. Not proud in a "it's affordable" way — proud in a "this is genuinely beautiful and well-made" way.
The problem I saw was simple: the textile industry in India is brilliant. Our fabrics, our craftsmanship, our artisans — world-class. But somewhere between the factory and the customer, a chain of middlemen and brand markups turned a ₹1,500 outfit into a ₹6,000 "boutique piece."
I grew up in Ahmedabad. I have spent years in the manufacturing sector here. I know what quality actually costs. So I asked myself — what if we just gave customers that quality directly, without the markup game?
That's Maarvi. Every outfit we sell is personally picked. Every fabric is tested. Every price is set with the honest question: would my sister pay this for this quality?
- No middlemen. No brand tax. Just honest pricing.
- Trendy designs that honour our Indian heritage.
- Fabrics sourced directly from Ahmedabad's textile mills.
- COD because trust must flow both ways.
- 7-day easy exchange because we stand behind every stitch.
"We don't sell everything.
We sell the outfits I would be proud to see
my own sister wear."
